Residence NRW⁺ 2026/2027: Grants for 2 Curators
Residence NRW⁺ offers two six-month residency fellowships for emerging Swiss curators in 2026/2027 in Münster, Germany. Supported by Pro Helvetia (Swiss Arts Council) and the City of Münster, the programme includes one fellowship from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027 and another from 1 April to 30 September 2027. The residency takes place in Münster within the Hoppengarten cultural quarter, alongside six artist fellows. Two curatorial fellows (one Swiss, one German) work as a duo, conceiving and independently realizing two projects at alternating venues across North Rhine-Westphalia, such as Stiftung Museum Schloss Moyland, Josef Albers Museum (Quadrat Bottrop) and Neue Galerie Gladbeck.
* Monthly grant: 1,460 CHF, paid in two instalments (80% at start, remaining after a detailed report).
* One‑time travel allowance: 1,000 CHF.
* Artists’ exhibition budget: 12,000 €.
* Cooperation projects budget: 10,000 € each for three projects.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the paired curator to design and execute two residency‑funded projects.
* Engage with regional cooperation venues and coordinate exhibitions.
* Document progress and submit a detailed report upon completion.
Qualifications:
* Emerging Swiss curator with at least one exhibition under their belt.
* Basic knowledge of German language is beneficial.
* Experience in curatorial practice and partnership work.
