Overview
The Business Analyst supports the Finance Director for International Marketing, Tenders, and Tolling by delivering high-quality financial analysis, insightful reporting, and business decision support across a complex international environment. The role ensures transparency on business results, drives performance management, contributes to strategic projects and planning activities, and establishes data accuracy and process discipline as a basis for effective commercial and financial decisions.
Responsibilities
* Financial Analysis & Reporting: prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports, analyses, and performance packs for the Director; consolidate and maintain accurate reports on tender outcomes and key financial indicators; support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning cycles; perform variance analysis highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities; assist in month-end close tasks for the commercial function including revenue, pricing, discounts, and OPEX analysis.
* Commercial Business Support: support the Director in strategic projects, business cases, commercial evaluations and investment proposals; partner with commercial teams (Marketing, Tender, Tolling, and Commercial Operations) to provide financial insights; contribute to scenario analyses and profitability to support pricing decisions; prepare materials for leadership discussions and key business meetings.
* Data & Process Excellence: maintain and improve data accuracy in financial systems, models, and reports; support continuous improvement to standardize reporting and automate routine tasks; collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data flows, forecasting quality, and planning processes; translate data into dashboards and compelling analysis.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: build strong working relationships with commercial stakeholders across Finance, Marketing, Tender, Tolling, and other relevant teams; demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; translate analyses into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
Position Qualifications & Experience Requirements
* Education: University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Experience: Several years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, business planning, or business-partner roles within a relevant industry.
* Competencies: strong organisational and process‑management skills; excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; clear written and verbal communication; strong numerical and analytical skills; structured, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Learning Agility & Intellectual Horsepower: capacity to learn quickly and apply knowledge to solve complex problems.
* Technology: robust Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Analysis for Office (preferred).
* Other: ability to work autonomously; a drive for results; problem-solving in ambiguous situations; continuous‑improvement mindset.
