Numezis is the first AI-native Business Administration OS. We turn compliance-heavy back‑office work into governed execution that scales. Our agents don't suggest - they execute, under rules, with full audit trail.
The platform is built on TypeScript · Next.js · Express · MongoDB · LangGraph · MCP, hosted exclusively in Switzerland on GCP Zurich multi‑zones. We serve Swiss SMEs and fiduciary partners through a multi‑portal architecture designed for scoping, permissions, and country‑aware compliance.
We are a small, senior team shipping weekly to real customers. Swiss‑made, audit‑ready by design, Swiss GAAP compliant. The work is serious, the standards are high, the pace is weekly.
The role
You are the domain expert in residence at Numezis. Your job is not to do accounting for clients - it is to make sure our AI agents do it correctly, consistently, and audit‑ready, across Swiss GAAP, VAT, OPA/LPP, AVS, and the specificities of each canton.
You translate Swiss finance reality into product rules, review agent outputs on real‑world cases, and act as the quality gate that lets us say, with a straight face, that Numezis is audit‑ready by design. You work day‑to‑day with product and engineering on the customer‑facing app, and you feed the agent layer with the rules, exceptions, and edge cases it needs to encode.
What you’ll do
* Define and document the business rules that agents must respect — Swiss GAAP, VAT (TVA), OPA/LPP, AVS, separation of duties, approval workflows, country‑specific invoice lifecycle (CH / DE / FR / IT).
* Review agent outputs weekly against real pilot data — flag hallucinations, missed edge cases, incorrect accounting treatment, and escalated to a P0 backlog.
* Co‑design workflow UX with the Product Designer so that the product feels native to an experienced accountant, not like a generic SaaS tool.
* Own the Swiss compliance knowledge layer — document what the product does and what it does not do, and how it handles exceptions, in a format that can be shared with auditors.
* Support complex demos and enterprise sales cycles when the product needs a credible domain voice in the room (estimated 10‑15% of time).
* Train the team on Swiss accounting fundamentals so every engineer and designer can reason about it.
* Act as the bridge to our fiduciary partner network — feedback from partner firms flows through you into the product backlog.
* Contribute to the Compliance Hub content on numezis.com — the public face of how we treat auditability.
What you bring
* 5+ years of hands‑on Swiss accounting, including VAT returns, social charges, year‑end closing, statutory accounts.
* Deep familiarity with at least one major Swiss accounting platform (Bexio, Abacus, Sage 50, WinBIZ, Banana).
* Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment — OR, Swiss Code of Obligations, nLPD, FINMA‑adjacent considerations for compliance‑heavy SMEs.
* Fluent French or German, strong English — you will write documentation, speak with pilots, and collaborate asynchronously with founders.
* Pragmatic software literacy — you are comfortable testing a product, filing bug reports, and reading structured output.
* Intellectual honesty — you will flag when an agent is wrong even if it makes a roadmap slip.
* Experience working with AI‑assisted accounting products, OCR ingestion pipelines, or document automation.
* Prior role in a fiduciary firm (Big 4, local cabinet) or in‑house at a Swiss SME finance function.
* Understanding of partner‑channel dynamics with Swiss fiduciaries and multi‑tenant workspace models.
* Published writing or teaching experience on Swiss accounting topics.
What makes this role unique
* You are not doing production accounting — you are shaping a product Swiss SMEs and fiduciaries will use.
* You have direct veto power on product releases when agent output is not audit‑ready.
* Rare combination of domain seniority with a genuine AI‑native product environment.
* Meaningful equity for a domain‑expert role embedded in product decisions.
* Your work becomes reusable knowledge infrastructure for every Swiss client we serve.
* Remote‑friendly setup — Geneva, Zurich, or EU time zone.
* Meaningful equity for early hires, 4‑year vesting with 1‑year cliff.
* Swiss‑market‑aligned base salary, transparent range at offer stage.
* Generous vacation policy and deep‑work culture.
* Top‑tier equipment of your choice.
* Quarterly team off‑sites — Swiss Alps cadence.
* Fast feedback loops: we move with intent, not bureaucracy.
Our hiring process
* Initial conversation — 30‑minute call with leadership to align on values and role scope.
* Technical / craft assessment — a paid, real‑world challenge that mirrors what you would ship in week one.
* Team interview — panel with leadership and one advisor, focused on culture and collaboration.
* Reference checks and offer — transparent compensation, equity, and onboarding plan.
