You will focus on developing new technologies and products, optimizing existing ones, and supporting different engineering offices around the world.How you'll make an impactStudy of current state of art in the field of 2D and 3D simulation of transformersAnalysis of performance of different parameters of dry transformers by means of 2D and 3D electromagnetic FEM calculationsDevelop new automations for the assessment of products through electromagnetic simulations coupled with structural, thermomechanical and acoustic simulationsRun feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, design new products and simulate their expected performancesOrganize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/productsLead product and technology development projects in the field of Dry, Traction and Oil Distribution Transformer, delivering results on time and on budget at agreed scope and qualitySupport the transfer of technology and knowledge from R&D to engineering department by writing design rules, preparing trainings and collaborating with design tools teamProvide technical support to other departments when needed (engineering, product management, marketing and sales etc.)Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the businessYour backgroundMSc in Electrical Engineering fieldExisting work experience in Electrical Engineering with particular focus on transformer designAdvanced knowledge of transformer design and prediction of relevant performance such as leakage fields, stray losses, no-load losses, short-circuit forces, mutual inductances, and similarExperience in finite element analysis and in the use of at least one of the following software: ANSYS MaxwellKnowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Matlab, C#Experience in electric testing of transformersProject management skillsInnovation spirit, "out of the box" thinkingWillingness to travelFluent in EnglishMore about usBring your very own sense of pride and purpose as you help us drive forward the Fourth Industrial Revolution – creating a sustainable future for our planet, and your career.
