The “Integrated and Wireless Systems” Business Unit, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is looking for a Characterization Engineer.
Your mission
Join our dynamic team of experienced and emerging RF and Timing IC designers as a characterization engineer. Take responsibility for testing and characterizing state-of-the-art RF, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits for industrial and research projects. Contribute to our group's mission to facilitate industry technology transfer and actively participate in research and development initiatives. Help shape the future of RF ICs!
Your Responsibilities
* Collaborate with experts in radio, analog, software, and system design to define and realize the characterization of RF integrated circuits, from test strategy definition during IC design to fully qualifying circuits.
* Specify and design electronic prototypes, evaluation boards, and demonstrators.
* Specify electronic components for these designs.
* Design and assemble PCBs.
* Interpret electrical schematics and review design documents.
* Write test and characterization reports.
* Validate electronic circuits both functionally and parametrically.
* Work with international customers, universities, and research institutes to support the use and integration of our circuits.
* Plan and document activities, adhering to requirements and deadlines.
* Innovate, think creatively, and challenge yourself.
Your profile
Know-how
* MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering (electronics, microelectronics, microtechnology)
* Experience in characterization and testing of electronic circuits from baseband to RF
* Excellent knowledge of best practices in RF electronic circuit characterization and debugging
* Experience with PCB design
* Proficiency in programming (mainly Python) and version control tools (e.g., Gitlab)

* Ability to work effectively in diverse teams, collaborating with both experienced and young IC designers
* Independence, initiative, and hands-on engagement in projects

* Effective communication skills in English; French and German are valued
