With a focus on excellence, integrity, and collaboration, SpendMend is committed to being a trusted partner in healthcare and education. /p pThis position requires knowledge of 340B Program compliance, and the use and management of 340B software systems, and spreadsheet work in general. /p h3340B Auditor Responsibilities /h3 pThe 340B Auditor will be expected to conduct oneself in a professional manner representing SpendMend Pharmacy directives utilizing best practice standards as set forth by Apexus and HRSA. The Auditor will troubleshoot issues that may arise and report any potential problems to SpendMend Pharmacy’s leadership. The Auditor is expected to work independently within the first 3 months. /p h3Essential Duties and Responsibilities /h3 h3340B Drug Program Audits /h3 ul liPerform onsite and remote audits both independently and with support /li liConduct audit as an HRSA-like audit /li liAssist with or complete a Medicare Cost Report to Location cross‑walk for the client /li liPerform a gap analysis of policy and procedures following a policy checklist /li liReview and finalize audit agendas and data request lists /li liDevelop an individualized audit guide prior to the pre‑audit call /li liParticipate in pre‑audit call /li liPresent all audit prep work, notes, and sample results in audit guide /li liAudit patient records to determine if prescription written is from an eligible clinic or hospital location, by a covered entity provider, and the prescription is related to the care received at the covered entity and documented in the EHR /li liMonitor ordering/purchasing processes, and analyze invoices, shipping, and inventory processes related to 340B drugs /li liProfessional audit summary writing is expected immediately following an audit /li liComplete audit summary report draft within one week of audit /li liAn independently written audit summary report is required to be delivered within 3 weeks of audit /li liFor system clients, prepare a summary of audit results in an audit problem list/tracker with final report /li liLead entrance and closing conferences /li liProvide client an education slide deck /li /ul h3SpendMend Pharmacy Compliance Participation, Monitoring, and Development /h3 ul liParticipate in weekly team meetings /li liMaintain an up-to-date calendar /li liUnderstand OPAIS and resources available on the HRSA website /li liReview the NACHC Manual and any updates /li liMaintain knowledge of changing rules and regulations /li liExpand professional development through 340B-related classes and seminars, current publications, and regional/national association membership participation /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Interpersonal Skills /h3 ul liExcellent verbal and written communication skills /li liCustomer focused with strong personable, social, and communication skills /li liAble to identify and resolve issues /li liFlexible and able to collaborate within a group and with clients /li liProficient in Microsoft Office, includes MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint /li liSelf-directed and ability to work independently /li liAccuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail /li /ul h3Education /h3 h3340B Compliance Training Requirements /h3 ul liBegin 340B Advanced Certificate Program within first 3 months of hire and complete within 9 months of hire /li liAttendance at one 340B Coalition meeting annually /li liParticipate in quarterly staff education /li /ul h3Desired Education and Experience Requirements /h3 ul li1–3 years’ experience in 340B related operations /li liKnowledge of the healthcare environment, electronic health records, and 340B program in general /li liPrevious experience as a compliance analyst, specialist, or pharmacy team member /li liProficiency with at least one split billing vendor/platform /li liPossess understanding of contract pharmacy operations /li liReside near a major US International Airport /li liPharmaceutical purchasing/inventory experience /li /ul h3Work Environment /h3 h3Job Location /h3 ul liRemote office /li liTravel expected at least once monthly and possibly two times per month based on covered entity client requests and/or conferences /li /ul pThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
