Senior Data Platform Engineer / Lead Data Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain a modern, cloud -based data platform on Microsoft Azure for a large -scale financial services environment, supporting critical data workloads for the Swiss Stock Exchange. The role involves leading legacy -to -cloud migrations, driving data transformation initiatives, and collaborating closely with cross -functional teams in an agile setup.
Required Skills & Experience
* 12+ years of experience in building and maintaining data pipelines on public cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred) or Big Data platforms such as Hadoop / Cloudera
* Strong expertise in relational databases and advanced SQL
* Hands -on experience with:
o Azure Databricks
o Apache Spark
o Azure Data Factory
o NoSQL data stores
o Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
o Solid understanding of Data Warehousing and Big Data architectures
o Experience working in Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe)
o Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
