Role overview:
As a Business Controller, you will combine strong financial expertise with strategic insight to support business leaders and project teams in delivering world-class exhibitions and initiatives. By ensuring sound financial management across projects and business units, you will play a key role in Art Basel’s continued global success.
Your Responsibilities:
* Partner with creative and operational leaders to provide actionable financial insights and support decision-making
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
* Own financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across a portfolio of global projects
* Monitor project performance, ensuring budgets, timelines, and deliverables are met
* Identify opportunities to optimize resources and mitigate financial risks
* Deliver clear and insightful financial reporting, including variance analysis and recommendations
* Build financial models and conduct scenario analyses to support strategic decisions
* Drive budgeting and forecasting processes across business units and contribute to long-term planning
* Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
* Support continuous improvement of financial processes and tools
Your Profile:
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
* 5–7 years’ experience in financial business partnering, project controlling, or FP&A, ideally in a dynamic, project-based environment
* Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP
* Sharp analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams
* Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
* Fluent in English, any additional languages is a plus
