Join us in developing a modular Python-based tool to model transmission lines and calculate key parameters across varying electrical zones.
You will:
* Implement the Telegraph Equation model for UGC and OHL sections
* Develop functions for impedance, admittance, and signal propagation
* Derive OHL parameters from literature and integrate with Cableizer software
* Validate simulation results against IEC/CIGRE standards
* Create visual outputs with Matplotlib (e.g. voltage, power plots)
* Store, manage and retrieve data with PostgreSQL and JSON
* Contribute to documentation and code delivery on GitHub
Requirements
* Knowledge of power systems, cable modeling, and signal transmission
* Strong Python skills (object-oriented programming, NumPy, JSON, Git)
* Advanced studies in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
* Experience in data storage (PostgreSQL), error handling, and integration testing
* Knowledge of IEC/CIGRE standards is a plus
* Independent, analytical, and proactive mindset
* Fluent in English (or German)
