As an Audit Supervisor, you are a mature Subject Matter Expert in multiple areas, responsible for performing audits and developing audit strategies to add value to the organization. You will manage multiple complex audits simultaneously, leading content and delivering key messages to auditees and senior management. Stakeholder interaction and continuous learning are essential to stay ahead. When necessary, you may act as an Audit Lead.
Key responsibilities include maintaining awareness of market risk processes end-to-end and understanding the regulatory market risk environment. This encompasses topics like Trading & Counterparty Credit Risk Management, Funding & Liquidity Risk Management (ILAAP), Capital Management (ICAAP), and Asset & Liability Management. In-depth knowledge of Financial Risk Management and Treasury is highly preferred, along with a strong understanding of internal audit processes.
Work environment
You will be based in Amsterdam within the Market Risk & Treasury audit team, working in a hybrid mode between home and office. International audits are conducted collaboratively with local audit teams and central specialists. This team is part of the CAS Risk & Finance Division, a global organization with approximately 400 members, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages open communication, education, training, and innovation.

You possess strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills, enabling you to ask the right questions and gather accurate information. Effective communication skills are crucial, especially in overcoming resistance. You are accurate, diligent, a team player, and experienced in working with international teams, coaching, sharing knowledge, and managing staff assignments.

Skills required
* Possess an academic degree, preferably with certification in Market Risk Management or Internal Control / Administrative Organisation.
* Have (international) experience in complex organizations, with a broad overview and knowledge of ING’s business, market risks, and controls.
* Ideally, have more than 8 years of relevant experience in market risk management and/or audit within a major bank, financial institution, or consultancy.
* Have a proficient understanding of internal audit processes, including risk assessment, control evaluation, audit scope setting, and testing development.
* Proven communication, advisory, and convincing skills to gain stakeholder buy-in at senior levels.
* Be organizationally sensitive and effective in conflict management.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
