Building Automation Engineer
For our client we are looking for a versatile Building Automation Engineer with strong experience in building automation and preferably a background in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry. German fluency is required; English is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and optimize BMS/BAS systems (HVAC, cleanrooms, labs).
Troubleshoot automation issues and ensure high system availability.
Support GMP/GxP compliance, audits, and qualification activities (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ).
Lead and support automation projects from design to commissioning.
Collaborate with vendors, facility engineering, QA, and operations.
Create and maintain documentation (functional specs, logic diagrams, SOPs).
Requirements
Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Building Technology, or similar.
Experience with common BMS systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, JCI, ).
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control loops, and field equipment.
Knowledge of protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC.
Experience in pharma, biotech, or chemical environments preferred.
Hands-on mindset, strong problem-solving skills.
