Tasks Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends. Analyze competitors and market conditions to develop strategies for business growth. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. Identify and approach potential clients, present Dachser’s services, and secure new business deals. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial terms. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients. Understand client needs and provide tailored logistics solutions to meet their requirements. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and resolving any issues promptly. Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and seamless service delivery. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support business development efforts. Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and business development performance. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve business strategies. Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Stay updated on industry best practices and integrate them into business development processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the logistics or supply chain industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Knowledge of the logistics industry in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region is an advantage.
