About Our Client
A leading international trading group with a strong presence in the soft commodities markets is currently looking to reinforce its operations team with an Operator - Liquid Commodities Execution.
The company is headquartered in Europe and operates globally, offering integrated solutions across sourcing, trading, logistics, and risk management.
Job Description
* Ensure full execution of contracts (purchase and sale) for liquid cargoes on various Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DAP, etc.)
*
Coordinate shipping logistics (vessels, barges, or trucks) and manage loading/discharge operations in collaboration with traders and chartering teams
*
Handle all documentation related to shipments: Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, Quality/Quantity Certificates, etc.
*
Manage and monitor Letters of Credit and ensure banking compliance for each transaction
*
Liaise with inspection companies, terminals, agents, and logistic providers
*
Ensure accuracy of shipping and invoicing data in internal systems
*
Proactively identify and resolve operational issues (delays, discrepancies, claims)
*
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high operational standards
The Successful Applicant
*
Minimum 2-6 years of experience in operations/execution for liquid commodities (oil products, refined fuels, biofuels, etc.)
*
Solid understanding of international trade flows, logistics, shipping documentation, and Incoterms
*
Experience with Letters of Credit and banking documentation
*
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
*
Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
*
Excellent communication skills in English (French, Spanish, or other languages are an asset)
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/trading systems
