Senior Operations Manager (f/m/x)
In this exclusive search, we are looking for an Operations Manager to join a fast-growing international client.
What you will be responsible for:
* Full operational responsibility including logistics solutions, customs and transportation management
* Ensure legally compliant import and export processes in accordance with national and international customs regulations
* Optimize customs and transportation processes in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders
* Lead, develop, and motivate teams in customs, import/export, and transport functions
* Select and manage external service providers, including freight carriers, forwarders, and handling agents
* Managing the budget for customs and transportation operations
* Monitor and improve performance through KPI-based analyses
* Ensure compliance with audit requirements, risk management, and sustainability targets
* Collaborate closely with departments such as Sales, Legal, IT, Finance and corporate functions
What you bring technically:
* University degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Customs/Foreign Trade, or equivalent education and experience
* Several years of leadership experience in international transportation and customs operations, ideally in a corporate or global logistics environment
* In-depth knowledge of international and Swiss customs law and transportation/logistics practices
* Further certifications such as APICS, CLTD, CCS, or similar, are an advantage
* Track record in project management and process optimization
* Proficiency in relevant IT systems
* Strong sense of responsibility, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive change
* Fluency in German (C1 level minimum) and English is a must
