Overview
LDC Solution Design Manager – Logistics Own Warehouse (EWM) – temporary contractor opportunity at Novartis, via Magnit Global. Novartis touches the lives of a tenth of the world’s population. This role supports the LDC SCM Design Lead and LDC Manufacturing Design Lead, working with the Logistics / Manufacturing Design Managers to structure activities according to workload. We are seeking a highly skilled SAP EWM consultant with PM skills to deliver design and project operational tasks as the solution design manager for own warehouse, delivering according to project timelines.
Responsibilities
* Act as the Business Solution Manager responsible for Logistics W&D own warehouse in close collaboration with the GPO (Global Process Owners), Business Champions, Functional IT Experts and the LDC Adopt counterpart.
* Elaborate deliverables as per the project plan during conceptual design, build and adopt phase. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, task outputs listed in the project plan.
* Ensure a proper design of the solution to set up and integrate Novartis’ own warehouses in upcoming LDC releases.
* Establish or update business standard operating procedures.
* Review and adopt, if necessary, the training material and working instructions.
* Execute business screening of IT solutions and testing of solution(s).
* Support and contribute to data migration in Logistics W&D own warehouse area.
* Align and agree on integration of relevant processes and their respective system solutions within Logistics W&D (e.g., in commercial operations, Intercompany Order Management and Direct Procurement).
* Ensure user requirements and functional specifications are consistent with global/local processes.
* Contribute to master data preparation for screening, testing and cutover.
* Support the adopt team to ensure proper go-live of upcoming releases.
* Secure business reporting requirements in Logistics W&D with the Reporting and Analytics team.
* Verify the existing core model for own warehouse based on SAP EWM with Global business process owner for Logistics at Novartis and prepare proposals for areas of improvement.
* Follow up on cross-functional topics (e.g., staging with manufacturing) and propose solutions aligned with global process owners.
* Take over project tasks in conceptual design, build, UAT testing & training, cutover & hyper care phase as needed within the team.
Requirements
* Several years of experience in Supply Chain working in logistics within the own warehouse area on the manufacturing side, ideally in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
* Several years of experience with SAP implementation projects and deployments of the SAP EWM solution, ideally in a team lead role.
* Experience implementing own warehouse setups and translating process requirements into solutions, with ability to verify if the solution meets business requirements.
* Fast self-learning attitude; forward thinking.
* Experience in integration with Manufacturing execution processes and systems (e.g., MES).
* Ability to meet timelines in a fast-paced project environment; leadership of people and advising the team.
* Ability to work independently and in a structured, careful manner; positive and proactive attitude.
* Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; strong teamwork and quality orientation.
* Ability to operate in a global matrix environment; capability to moderate workshops with business champions to gather requirements and challenge when needed.
* Ability to communicate and present to higher management within LDC and outside LDC to obtain guidance and drive decisions.
* Fluent English.
