OverviewPurpose of the role: The Partner Markets Operations Director / AD will support the expansion of the company's global presence with the aim of driving business growth through commercialization partners in countries where Madrigal elects not to establish a direct presence.This role will coordinate cross functional activities related to the Partner Markets / Regions in scope, conducting market assessments, develop go-to-market strategies and support the selected Partners to deliver upon financial and in-market performance goals thus ensuring Madrigal's success in targeted international regions.The role requires operational leadership, strategic vision, execution and organizational excellence, and knowledge of International Healthcare market trends, regulations, and competitive landscapes.The Position will report to the General Manager, Global Head of Partner Markets and will be based in Zug, Switzerland.ResponsibilitiesCommercialization and Market Execution:Review and provide input to Partner Markets Business and Commercialization PlansAssure proper alignment and localization of our company and commercial strategy and coordinate relevant input and trainingFacilitate knowledge sharing and drive collaboration and best practice sharing across the regions leveraging insights from other marketsIn alignment with the internal and Partners Access Teams, develop market access strategies and tactics to enable patients to access company products in designated partner marketsMonitor healthcare and market trends, in-market performance and competitive environment in coordination with the Commercialization Partner.Alliance Management:Coordinate relevant Alliance Committees with Partners including preparation and follow-up as well as quarterly and monthly performance reviewsEstablish and Coordinate an Alliance Platform for information sharingBuild and sustain long-term relationships with our partners to deliver on business objectivesLead the onboarding of new partners to ensure alignment with corporate standardsServe as a company representative in selected events, building strong relationships with local partners as well as customers and Key Opinion LeadersMonitor compliant execution of alliance agreementsBusiness & Financial Management:Oversee financial performance and manage budgets and forecasts in coordination with our Finance Team to ensure financial success in the assigned regionIn collaboration with Finance, support the development of forecasts, budgets and financial models ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and monitor performance of all KPIs vs Budget and Forecasts.Oversee partner market operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with corporate objectives and ensure adherence to local regulations, laws and corp. governanceDevelop insights-driven reports to inform leadership on performance and growth strategiesBusiness Development:Prepare Business Cases to inform Go-To-Market StrategySupport the screening, selection, due-diligence and negotiation process for potential new Commercialization Partners as we expand into more International MarketsCross-functional Collaboration:Establish and coordinate effectively with internal teams like Medical, Marketing, Finance, Access, Regulatory, Suppl Chain, Legal, PV, Quality as well as external partners, to lead cross-functional activities and operational topics in partnership with global / regional teams.Be the internal and external go to person for all relevant Partner Markets related topics across all functionsQualifications and Skills Required:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.10+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry is a must, with strong preference of broad experience in commercial roles and experiences in working in business development or building business casesExperience in Specialty Care and Launching Innovative Therapies is highly preferred; experience in the field of Hepatology / Gastroenterology is a plus5+ Years of experience working with international markets, ideally have experience working outside your home country or significant cross-culture experienceExperience working cross-functionally with functions such as Commercial, Medical, Supply Chain, Finance Access and Regulatory.Experience working with commercialization partners and distributors is a plus.Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management and strategic planning.Understanding of international trade regulations and market entry strategies.Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Willingness to travel extensively as required.Multilingual, with proficiency beyond English being advantageousAdditional InformationMadrigal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
