* Assume overall responsability for the Swine Research Group, encompassing strategic planning, scientific achievement and all technical and administrative functions (organisation, finances, personnel)
* Serve as central contact person for all questions and research related to pig and chicken production; establish and manage interdisciplinary project teams with representatives from -relevant Agroscope departments and external partners
* Secure project aquisition and third-party funding from competitive funding programmes, industry and other donors
* Lead knowledge transfer initiatives and public relations efforts
* Represent Agroscope in national and international committees and organisations for the promotion of forage production, grassland systems and sustainable animal production
This makes you unique
* PhD in agricultural sciences with a specialisation in animal production (pigs/poultry) and proven research experience in these areas
* Comprehensive expertise in monogastric animal nutrition
* Extensive professional network in the Swiss animal production sector and in-depth knowledge of the framework conditions
* Strong leadership skills, strong team spirit and convincing communication skills
* Good knowledge of two official Swiss languages and good English
