As a Senior Storage Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for engineering and operations of enterprise-wide storage infrastructures. You will manage and further develop the bank’s storage platforms and contribute to cross-functional projects with your technical expertise.
Your key tasks include:
* Provisioning and managing storage services (block, object, archive) across various technologies (SAN, LAN, iSCSI)
* Performing operational tasks such as release updates, patching, and capacity management
* Supporting internal projects with storage-related requirements
* Evolving the storage architecture in line with industry trends and technological advancements
* Providing second-level support as part of the existing support structure, including on-call duties
You hold a degree in Computer Science (university or university of applied sciences) or a similar qualification and have several years of practical experience in Storage and SAN management.
In addition, you bring the following skills and qualifications:
* Hands-on experience with leading storage technologies (e.g. IBM FlashSystem, NetApp, Pure Storage, Cloudian)
* Knowledge of Linux system administration and/or network engineering
* Experience with VMware is a plus
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
* A proactive and responsible mindset with the ability to work independently
* Fluency in English; very good German skills are an advantage
* Willingness to work fully onsite (100%)
