Products for the PDF Tools AG brand target developers that need to process a vast amount of documents. SDKs and shell tools enable engineers to build and integrate document processing into their product. About the role

At Pdftools, we're revolutionizing how businesses work with document automation through our cutting-edge PDF technology solutions. We're seeking a strategic Product Marketing Manager who can bridge the gap between our innovative PDF technology and the engineers who implement it.

As our Product Marketing Manager, you'll be the voice of our products to the market, translating complex technical capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with developers and technical decision-makers. You'll develop deep expertise in our PDF technology stack while gaining an intimate understanding of the unique challenges faced by our target customers.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and marketing—you're comfortable discussing API functionality in the morning and crafting customer-facing messaging in the afternoon. You'll own the go-to-market strategy for our products, ensuring our solutions are well-positioned against competitors and that our commercial teams have the tools they need to succeed.

Responsibilities

1. Tell Pdftools' story to the market by gaining deep expertise in both our PDF technology solutions and the unique challenges faced by target markets and ICPs.

2. Build positioning, messaging, and value propositions for products and solutions to both our technical and business audiences.

3. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product marketing strategies.

4. Leads commercial feature launches (materials, customer base info, newsletter, collateral) including training of commercial teams (sales).

5. Create technical informational content—sample apps, GitHub tutorials, webinars, conference talks - with some support from engineering.

6. Represent the company externally at meet-ups, trade shows, and customer briefings.

7. Create quarterly launch plans as part of our OKRs with measurable KPIs for each of our products.

8. Develop competitive positioning strategies against our main competitors.

9. Develop detailed case studies showing quantifiable ROI metrics from our enterprise customers.

Requirements

10. 3+ years of product marketing experience with developer-focused products (APIs, SDKs, CLI tools) - an engineering / developer background is a strong plus.

11. Hands-on experience with software development tools/workflows. You need to be able to think like an engineer and translate developer pain points into strategic messaging.

12. Strong communication and project ownership skills - able to take initiatives from idea to shipped deliverable with minimal oversight.

13. Demonstrated ability to convert technical capabilities into concise, impactful positioning and product narratives.

14. Proven experience owning GTM execution for new products/features across multiple channels.
