The role holder anticipates changes to the operating environment, assesses commercial risk and competitive opportunity and provides expert analysis and recommendations to the market leadership team.Responsibilities:As the Corporate Affairs & Communications Director, you will…Identify key issues and events in the country environment, which could create commercial risk or competitive advantage for JTI and establish the CA&C strategic direction, ensuring it supports JTI business and performance goalsDevelop and build a Government Relations program that effectively manages regulatory risks in key industry issues like taxation, anti-illicit trade and product restrictions, as well as direct the ongoing monitoring of political, legislative and regulatory developmentsRecommend, plan, develop, and implement Fiscal and Tax Affairs strategies and relevant programs, interacting with relevant stakeholders to shape the political and regulatory environmentRepresent JTI positions in local tobacco industry associations and ensure their conduct is in accordance with our business objectivesMaintain media relations as well as direct Internal Communications that focus on generating employee engagement and understanding of JTI objectivesDesign and oversee the effective implementation of the market Community Investment strategy and programs in compliance with JTI corporate policy and budget guidelinesRequirements:University degree or MBA in a relevant fieldSolid experience in a senior-level role in a Corporate Affairs function within an international/global businessProfound understanding of public relations, corporate governance, and regulatory complianceExcellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsStrong business acumenFluent in English, a good command of German/French is an advantageGood working knowledge of Microsoft 365 What to expect:Expect wellbeing initiatives, flexible work arrangements, growth opportunities, and excellent benefits, including a unique family leave policy.Are you ready to join us?
