As a first-tier supplier to Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated Product Owner (Mechanics/Fluidics) Instrumentation for a temporary assignment of three years, with the possibility of extension. The Product Owner will coordinate and shape the mechanical and fluidic development activities for Roche's next-generation healthcare system, acting as the main interface to Operations, System Integration, and other functions. The focus is on coordinating new development activities in Mechanics, Fluidics, and partially Electronics & Verification, with clear reporting to related functions and committees.
Location: Rotkreuz, Switzerland. Language: English (German listening/reading a plus). Travel: occasional travel possible.

Responsibilities
* Coordinate, manage, and monitor the mechanical/fluidics development backlog.
* Ensure priorities and tasks are clearly understood within the team and aligned with connected squads (e.g., infrastructure, measurement technology, sensor mounting).
* Be accountable for maximizing the value of mechanical/fluidics product development activities resulting from the team’s work (internal and external).
* Proactively identify and enable tasks to be pursued actively.
* Maintain ownership in all phases of the development process: feasibility studies through design, development, testing, bug fixing, design transfer, and maintenance.
* Serve as the Functional Squad Representative in the project team; collaborate with the Development Lead to incorporate activities into the technical roadmap.
* Product Strategy: support and implement a long-term technical roadmap aligned with the project and company strategy.
* Set goals for the squad and communicate them effectively to the team.
* Leverage system awareness to collaborate with functional squads across the company (operations, system integration, product management) to design an optimal product in terms of quality, robustness, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
* Foster cross-team technical practices and standards.
* Act as a recognized expert across organizational boundaries, driving solutions for complex technical challenges.
* Represent specific know-how and subject matter expertise to internal or external stakeholders.
Must-Haves
* Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or life sciences related discipline.
* Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience in a highly regulated environment; MedTech experience is a plus.
* Minimum 5 years as a Product Owner with several years in an R&D leading function for new product development.
* Proven experience as a collaborative leader who promotes self-organization in regulated environments.
* Ability to work independently to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Broad experience and network to manage and evaluate external partners.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and regulated environments.
* Willingness to work in a fully agile and transparent environment.
* Project language is English; German listening/reading is a plus.
* Willingness to undertake occasional travel.
