Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
Education: M.Sc. or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering
Experience in managing lab team or R&D team that includes for instance workload planning, technical support, troubleshooting, delegation of tasks
Resilience to working under high workload
Communication skills and methodologies of sufficient communication with project stakeholders and members of R&D team
Being able to accommodate workload with high degree of flexibility
Experience in leading and executing R&D project or basic but practical skills of project management
Good work experience in a similar position and good competence in conducting laboratory research projects in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and/or multiphase non catalytic reactions at high pressure
Open and positive mind, eager to find new solutions and test innovations
Good ability to keep updated with laboratory technologies
Strong organizing skills and self-motivated and not being afraid of failure
Ability to interpret the requirements and propose and develop innovative solutions
Very fluent written and spoken English knowledge
An advantage is a good know how in labview, matlab, phyton and/or 3D technical cad

In this frame, the company is currently seeking a dynamic Laboratory Research to work with a passionate, detail-oriented, and international team on developing and maintaining our projects.
The position is within the Basic Research and reports to the Section Head.
The activity will be:
Manage chemical lab to ensure its safe and effective operation
to interact with R&D for planning the laboratory activities
Provides technical leadership and instruction to technical staff and/or student employees engaged in the execution of related research
to set up and lead R&D project on time and on budget to design laboratory experiments for mechanical tests, catalytic and non-catalytic reactions
Design build, test, install, and/or maintain technical, laboratory equipment and test units (including automation and control systems)
to perform, understand and develop chemical analyses and to develop new analytical methods and find solutions for performing and monitoring chemical reactions;
Execute complex mechanical and chemical laboratory experiments (including high pressure and high temperature)
Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art digital technologies, equipment, machinery and/or systems.
Develop quality standards, protocols and programs; monitors and maintains quality of laboratory including safety.
Maintains supplies and equipment inventories; specifies orders for supplies and equipment for the laboratory
To solve electronical and mechanical issues in the laboratory
data analysis of the results obtained from the laboratory tests
digitalize work conducted in the lab and data analysis
to write reports to be distributed to the R&D
Involvement with/management of/ external research collaborations e.g. partner companies, academic institutions and research centers
