Responsabilities:
The Medical Writer is a scientific and strategic content lead within the medical team. This individual is responsible for the independent development of high-quality, scientifically rigorous, and behaviorally informed content across assigned brands. The Medical Writer plays a critical role in ensuring that all medical deliverables ladder up to brand strategy, reflect deep therapeutic understanding, and uphold The Bloc’s standards for accuracy, clarity, and creativity. In particular, the Medical Writer:
* Performs medical writing/copywriting (i.e., rewrites existing content as requested, updates derivative content as needed, or generates new content as required for all types of projects, manuscripts, sales aids, sell sheets, emails, websites, etc. with a vision for verifying scientific accuracy, audience appropriateness, scientific tone, medical writing style, and in keeping with project goals);
* Searches, appraises, and selects appropriate medical/scientific references to support copy, especially for core product messages and claims;
* Annotates jobs based on the latest client (i.e., non-Merck/MSD) guidelines and requirements;
* Organizes and files references for each product;
* Receives and completes training as required for client onboarding/certification;
* Manages project timelines and work closely with project management to assure timelines are being met;
* Follows established agency SOPs and department guidelines to ensure work quality;
* Builds rapport among departments and teams;
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree (pharmaceutical/medical background)
* Proficient with English and German and correct grammar usage
* 2+ years of experience writing and editing technical content (pharmaceutical/medical content a plus)
* Attention to detail and organized, reliable, and proactive approach to work are a must. Articulates thoughts and ideas in a logically organized, fluent, and concise manner
* Good interpersonal communication skills
* Highly responsible, collaborative, and self-motivated
* Proficient in word-processing software
* Knowledge of Mac/PC environment
