We are currently looking for a Railway V&V Engineer with hands-on experience in ETCS onboard systems to support complex railway projects in a safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform Validation activities on ETCS onboard systems (Class A)
* Support the integration of signalling systems into rolling stock (new build and retrofit projects)
* Ensure compliance with CENELEC standards (EN 50126 / EN 50129) across the project lifecycle
* Analyse and validate system and subsystem requirements, ensuring full traceability
* Prepare and execute validation plans, test specifications and validation reports
* Identify system gaps, missing functions and integration issues during validation activities
* Collaborate with system engineering, safety, RAMS and integration teams
* Contribute to safety-related activities (FMEA, FTA, impact analysis)
* Support technical reviews and ensure overall system compliance and quality
Our Ideal Candidate Should Have
* 8+ years of experience in railway projects as a Validation engineer
* Hands-on experience with ETCS onboard systems (mandatory)
* Strong knowledge of CENELEC standards (EN 50126 / EN 50129)
* Experience with requirements management and traceability (e.g. DOORS or similar tools)
* Solid understanding of safety-critical systems and methodologies (FMEA, FTA)
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
* Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
Nice to Have
* Experience with ETCS Level 1 / Level 2
* Knowledge of Class B systems integration
* Previous experience in safety or RAMS activities
