Job Title: Purchase Controller
Location: Valais – 100% onsite presence required
About the Role
A leading life sciences organization is seeking an experienced Purchase Controller to take ownership of procurement activities across materials, equipment, and services. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, manage end-to-end purchasing processes, and ensure compliance with budgets and timelines. You’ll collaborate closely with project management, controlling, and internal teams to deliver seamless procurement support for a wide range of projects.
Responsibilities
* General Procurement
o Develop and execute procurement strategies for goods and services.
o Define requirements, prepare specifications, and identify qualified suppliers.
o Lead tendering, negotiations, and contract awards.
o Process orders, oversee approval workflows, and maintain compliant documentation.
o Build strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity and performance.
* Focus Areas
o Site Infrastructure: Manage procurement of heating solutions, security systems, and seasonal services.
o Facility Management: Oversee container rentals, office furnishings, demobilizations, and billing.
o Waste Management: Coordinate waste disposal, scrap metal credits, data reporting, and invoicing.
* Additional Responsibilities
o Prepare and submit applications for construction, conversion, and power with local authorities.
o Maintain fire protection documentation in compliance with legal standards.
o Support project accounting, claim management, and contract administration.
o Manage project close-out activities, including handovers and final documentation.
o Utilize procurement and project management systems (SAP, SAP Ariba, Unifier, Invoice Track).
Candidate Profile
* Education: BSc in Engineering or equivalent diploma.
* Experience: 5+ years in procurement, purchasing, or project support.
* Skills: Strong process and time management, attention to detail, supplier relations, and innovation mindset.
* IT: Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, SAP Ariba, Unifier, Invoice Track, DMS.
* Languages: Fluent in English and German (mandatory).
* Competencies: Accuracy, organizational strength, proactive communication, and collaborative team spirit.
