Do you thrive in high-pressure environments where your expertise directly impacts business continuity? /p pWe’re looking for a bProduction Support Engineer (L2/L3) /b with deep expertise in bOracle and PostgreSQL /b to: /p ul liProvide advanced support for database platforms in a hybrid infrastructure (on-premise and cloud). /li liEnsure high availability, performance, and reliability of database services. /li liCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement. /li /ul h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul libIncident Management /b: Handle L2/L3 support for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues. /li libMonitoring Alerting /b: Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues. Define and track SLIs/SLOs. /li libPerformance Tuning /b: Analyze and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and resource utilization. /li libBackup Recovery /b: Manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high availability configurations (e.g., Oracle Data Guard, PostgreSQL Patroni). /li libChange Management /b: Support deployments, patching, and upgrades with minimal impact to production systems. /li libAutomation /b: Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and reduce operational overhead. /li libDocumentation Knowledge Sharing /b: Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and contribute to knowledge bases for faster issue resolution. /li /ul h3Your Team /h3 pYou’ll be part of a global database support team managing over b25,000 databases /b, including some of the largest and most complex environments (up to 350TB). The team supports critical platforms using technologies like Oracle RAC, Goldengate, PostgreSQL Patroni, and Azure SQL. /p h3Key Deliverables /h3 ul liTimely resolution of production incidents and service requests. /li liPerformance and capacity reports for Oracle/PostgreSQL environments. /li liAutomation of repetitive tasks to reduce TOIL and improve efficiency. /liliPost-incident reviews and problem management to prevent recurrence. /li liSupport for database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul lib5+ years /b of hands-on experience in bOracle and/or PostgreSQL /b database administration and production support. /li liStrong knowledge of bHA/DR solutions /b, performance tuning, and capacity planning. /li liExperience with bmonitoring tools /b (e.g., OEM, Prometheus, Grafana) and bincident management platforms /b. /li liScripting skills in bPython, Bash, PowerShell /b for automation. /li liFamiliarity with bcloud platforms /b (especially Azure) and bInfrastructure as Code /b tools (Terraform, ARM). /li liExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and self-driven approach. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
