Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and Quality standards.
* Supervise the production department, including assembly line, sterilization, and final packaging.
* Manage a team of 5 direct reports and approximately 120 indirect production staff.
* Optimize available resources to achieve reliable, efficient, and productive operations.
* Meet daily, short-term, and long-term manufacturing goals, adjusting plans as necessary.
* Lead daily operational activities and support departments in prioritizing tasks.
* Ensure adherence to company and corporate rules and regulations.
* Hire and train new staff members.
* Report to upper management on operational performance.
* Support and facilitate new product launches to ensure successful implementation.
* Promote teamwork and encourage total associate involvement.
* Assist the Department Manager in developing career paths for team leaders.
* Assist in preparing performance and potential appraisals for team leaders.
* Support the Department Manager in preparing the annual department budget.
* Develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives focused on cost containment and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, OSHA, and environmental regulations, maintaining good housekeeping and ergonomic practices.
* Train and coach direct reports.
* Contribute to the development of world-class manufacturing initiatives.
* Participate in and support the implementation of projects, programs, and training initiatives.
* Manage CAPA, NC, and CO processes.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
* Previous leadership experience required.
* Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French required.
* Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
* Proven track record in leadership, development, and collaboration.
* Strong awareness of compliance and safety regulations.
* Qualifications or experience in Quality Management, Lean, and Six Sigma principles preferred.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
