Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing SAP projects within the IT department, focusing on the Product Area Domain Logistic. As a project manager, they will oversee the building of the project roadmap, scoping of projects, defining and monitoring project plans, organizing regular status meetings, managing cutover execution, addressing issues, and contributing to their resolution.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Contributing to the SAP implementation program as a project manager.
2. Creating and executing project work plans using competence center methodology and tools.
3. Identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities.
4. Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
5. Preparing for regular project status meetings.
6. Identifying and communicating risks.
7. Ensuring project documents are complete and updated.
8. Managing projects with the objective of respecting deadlines and budget.
Project Execution
1. Identifying gaps and monitoring the creation and execution of enhancement and rollout requests.
2. Re-enforcing template approach and contributing to a balanced approach weighing template interests and business interests.
3. Organizing the timely setup and testing of authorizations in line with group guidelines.
4. Organizing the preparation of required data and corresponding migration.
5. Planning and organizing test sessions covering project requirements as well as non-regression validation.
6. Defining the cutover strategy, defining a cutover plan, and organizing its execution and tracking.
7. Ensuring the completion of all deliverables according to OPS&BF department methodology, including documentation.
8. Acting as a facilitator between product area domain logistic teams and business partners.
9. Contributing to main project decisions regarding key processes by challenging business requirements and organizing meetings with decision-makers.
10. Ensuring communication of project progression and key decisions to business and IT teams.
11. Ensuring consistent integration between different OPS&BF products with support from head of/product area manager.
12. Ensuring quality management actions, including manual and auto tests for project scope.
13. Organizing regular status meetings.
14. Establishing regular project reports and monitoring project budget.
15. Communicating difficult/sensitive information tactfully to partners.
16. Identifying change management actions and monitoring their execution by the business.
17. Timely escalation of blocking project points to management.
18. Accompanying the project after go-live and addressing remaining issues.
19. Organizing project closing and ensuring completion of all required deliverables.
