Freelance Planner / Scheduler (Pharmaceutical Projects) – Switzerland
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Planner / Scheduler to support the delivery of major pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects in Switzerland. The successful candidate will play a key role in project controls, schedule management, progress reporting, and coordination across project and construction management teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner with strong pharmaceutical or biotech project experience who can work effectively within complex, highly regulated environments.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project (MS Project).
* Monitor project progress and performance against established baselines.
* Produce regular progress reports, schedule updates, and project status dashboards.
* Coordinate planning activities with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers.
* Support project controls and PMO functions across the project lifecycle.
* Track critical milestones, identify schedule risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Facilitate schedule review meetings and provide planning insights to project stakeholders.
* Monitor supplier deliverables and support contract administration activities.
* Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management activities.
* Support project governance processes, reporting requirements, and documentation control.
Required Experience
* Proven experience as a Planner/Scheduler on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences projects.
* Strong expertise in schedule development and management using Microsoft Project.
* Experience producing progress reports and project performance metrics.
* Demonstrated experience coordinating with Project Management and Construction Management teams.
* Experience working within regulated GMP environments is highly desirable.
* Previous involvement in supplier management and contract-related activities.
* Experience supporting PMO and project governance functions.
* Track record of successfully supporting or leading project delivery activities.
