Team Leader - Senior Study Director - Aquatic Ecotoxicology

We are experts in global field studies according to GEP and GLP, worker exposure studies, ecotoxicology, product chemistry, physico-chemical property testing and environmental fate studies.
Innovative Environmental Services (IES) Ltd is a GLP‑certified Contract Research Organization (CRO) headquartered in Witterswil, near Basel, Switzerland. We perform Environmental Fate, Metabolism, Ecotoxicological and Analytical Chemistry testing to support development, registration and stewardship of agrochemicals, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Job Description
* Study direction for chronic and acute aquatic ecotoxicology studies on fish, amphibians, daphnia, algae and other aquatic organisms according to OECD guideline
* Evaluation of study results and reporting
* Communication with internal and external customers
* Cooperation with internal sales team for preparation of quotations including consulting of clients
* People responsibility related to the studies, with opportunity to obtain general people leadership responsibility
* Participation in scientific workshops and congresses
Qualifications
* Education in biology or related discipline
* At least 5 to 10 years experience in aquatic ecotoxicology working under GLP, including experience with fish endocrine disruptor testing
* Working experience in a CRO is an advantage
* Strong organizational skills, flexible in work assignment and schedule
* Experience in people leadership
* Willingness and ability to coach, train and develop people
* Fluency in spoken and written English and German is essential
* A valid work permit for Switzerland (visa or work authorization sponsorship cannot be provided)
