The On retail fleet is expanding with big ambitions, and we’re looking for a confident Retail Design Project Manager to help us elevate our retail experience.
The Retail Design Project Manager will oversee the complete lifecycle of key global retail design initiatives for both Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Business-to-Business (B2B) channels. This role ensures high-quality results aligned with brand standards and strategic goals. The Project Manager will collaborate with internal teams—including Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, Marketing & Campaigns, and regional Construction—as well as external vendors such as construction firms, material suppliers, and manufacturers, to drive initiatives from conception to completion.
This role reports to and works closely with the Head of Retail Design and partners with the Leads of Retail Concepts & Program Management.
Your responsibilities
1. Manage and deliver multiple retail design initiatives from inception to completion, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely and scope-compliant results.
2. Collaborate with strategy, creative, and agency partners to understand and execute their vision from brief to delivery.
3. Create project plans and schedules using tools like Asana, streamlining processes and reducing administrative overhead.
4. Monitor timelines, decisions, and conduct post-project evaluations to improve future projects.
5. Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication, updates, and managing dependencies.
6. Support financial management, including forecasting, budget tracking, and ensuring accountability.
7. Facilitate design reviews, feedback, and approvals to uphold brand and retail standards.
8. Manage post-project wrap-ups, learnings, and reporting to optimize future initiatives.
9. Identify and resolve risks and bottlenecks, aligning with strategic priorities.
10. Work with vendors and external partners to meet quality and project goals, collaborating with legal and procurement for agreements.
11. Promote process improvements, tool adoption, and strategic problem-solving.
Your background
1. 5+ years of project management experience in brand, marketing, retail, or agency settings.
2. Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
3. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills for stakeholder management.
4. Proficiency in Asana and other project management tools, focusing on automation and efficiency.
5. Experience working with diverse teams including brand, marketing, creative, and operations.
6. Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills; experience in DTC and B2B retail is a plus.
7. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities with a positive attitude.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to create compelling presentations to convey project status and progress.
10. Knowledge of sportswear or premium fashion brands is advantageous.
11. Bachelor’s degree in business management, design, or a related field preferred.
