Underwriter Property to Zurich Nordic

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Underwriting Property Team, working from our Norway office.
As an underwriter, you will build up and be responsible for your own portfolio of contracts and customers with assignments such as premium setting, quotations, negotiations and measuring exposure and analyzing risk. You will underwrite new and renewal business and will build relationships in support of customer/business acquisition and retention. You will also proactively contribute ideas and work for the development of new or enhanced propositions based on technical, customer and distributor insights. As well as proactively seek new business opportunities.
As a person, you are a team player and an analytical thinker. You are data driven and have a strong business and customer focus as well as interest in customer relationships and negotiation. You are fast moving and flexible. You like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues.
Qualifications
* Several years of professional experience within the Insurance Business
* Good understanding in corporate insurance within property
* Preferably an academic degree in engineering, economics or equivalent
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Norwegian are required
Skills and competencies
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service
* Strong data processing skills and analytical skills
* Technical background and knowledge of the Norwegian insurance market terminology.
* Knowledge of risk analysis and selection, pricing for new business and renewals
* Good negotiation skills and sales oriented
* Good presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation
* High level of risk- and business awareness
