Senior Director, Clinical & Statistical Programming – Neuroscience & Cardio
Location: Switzerland, United States (New Jersey, Pennsylvania), United Kingdom – Hybrid work model. Role within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.
Role
Senior Director will serve as a senior leader within Clinical & Statistical Programming (C&S), guiding a large, geographically distributed organization and defining the long‑term strategy, technical capabilities, and flawless execution across major therapeutic and regional portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership – Shape the long‑range vision for C&S, guide organizational evolution, lead decision‑making for functional strategy, sourcing models, and investment priorities.
* Operational Excellence – Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of C&S activities, manage regulatory submission strategies, prioritize workloads, allocate resources, and remove barriers to execution.
* People Leadership – Build a high‑performance organization, lead and develop a global leadership team, drive talent strategy, create a culture of innovation and accountability, and make high‑impact decisions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, public health, or related scientific discipline (advanced degree preferred).
* 15+ years of experience in statistical programming, biometrics, or related areas within pharma/clinical research, with substantial leadership responsibility.
* 5–7+ years of people leadership experience, ideally leading managers and large, multi‑layered teams.
* Expert understanding of statistical programming, clinical data flows, modern technical ecosystems, and regulatory guidelines.
* Demonstrated aptitude in talent development, resource management, organizational leadership, and innovation.

* Advanced Analytics, Biostatistics, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Regulatory Affairs Management, Quality Assurance, Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) Programming, Project Integration Management, Inclusive Leadership, and Process Improvement.
