IT Automation Engineer – Kubernetes / OpenShift
For our client, a leading IT service provider in Switzerland, we are looking for an IT Automation Engineer specializing in Kubernetes / OpenShift for a permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Design and implementation of automated IT processes in the data center.
* Support setup, further development and operation of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes / OpenShift) in customer projects.
* Act as customer contact, planning and implementing modern container and orchestration architectures.
* Work independently on smaller projects or with the team on larger ones.
* Collaborate closely with experts from other departments.
* Influence department development as we expand.
* Contribute to solution and service design for the company.
* Place customer and added value at the top priority.
Profile
* Completed vocational training in computer science or equivalent education.
* Extensive experience in the construction, operation and further development of container and orchestration platforms.
* Practical knowledge of handling containers, deployment pipelines, and orchestration tools.
* Experience in Linux basics, virtualization, monitoring, log analysis, backup and storage solutions, IT process automation.
* Familiar with Python.
* Service‑oriented mindset and teamwork enjoyment.
* Enjoy interaction with customers.
* Interest in education and training and willingness to learn new areas.
* Thinking outside the box inspired.
* Fluent in German and English, spoken and written.
* Can independently implement projects at a high level.
* Category B driving licence and flexible relocation within German‑speaking Switzerland.
