Our dynamic start-up located in Switzerland is currently searching for a Senior Photonics Packaging Engineer to join their team and be responsible for the development of photonics packaging of hybrid integrated optoelectronic devices using semi-automated equipment.
The role will involve thermal and mechanical engineering of photonics assemblies as well as root cause analysis of assembled devices. Setting up assembly operations for industrial volume manufacturing will be required. Photonics experience is a must.
Required skills for the senior photonics packaging engineer will include:
* Semiconductor laser and optoelectronics and / or silicon photonics packaging experience
* Experience with CAD modeling, mechanical and thermal engineering of hybrid assemblies
* Excellent proficiency of English along with strong communication skills
* MSc or PhD in optical or photonics engineering or adjacent field
