As a **Manufacturing Process Development Engineer** at Sonova, you will help shape how our hearing instruments, chargers, and wireless accessories are manufactured - ensuring our products can be produced with high quality, reliability, and efficiency at scale. You will focus on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes with a strong emphasis on joining and encapsulation technologies. Working closely with R&D, Industrialization, and Production teams across locations, you will bridge product design and industrial execution - from early feasibility studies through to validated production processes. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where engineering, experimentation, and process thinking come together to enable robust and scalable manufacturing solutions. **More about the role** * Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes for hearing instruments, chargers, and accessories * Focus on joining and encapsulation technologies for electronic components and assemblies * Conduct feasibility studies and technology assessments for new manufacturing solutions * Collaborate closely with R&D teams in Stäfa and Murten during design and development phases * Support laboratory-scale process development in the ME lab at HQ Stäfa * Drive design transfer to Operations Centers and support industrialization activities * Characterize, qualify, and benchmark manufacturing processes * Perform process and failure analysis to improve stability, quality, and yield * Define and document process-related design rules and promote -Design for Manufacturing- principles * Support production teams with technical expertise, including NC and CAPA topics **More about you** **Must have** * Degree in Engineering (materials science, process engineering, chemistry, physics, or similar) * Experience in manufacturing process development or production engineering (incl. joining/surface technologies) * Hands-on experience with experimental work and process development * Str...
