Overview
Maiden Marc Associates is working with the Zurich offices of a leading global retained search firm that provides exceptional board leadership services across various sectors, including Financial Services, Technology, Private Equity, Business and Industrial Services, and FMCG. They are consistently retained for C-Suite level searches by influential companies across EMEA, and, due to growth in their Swiss geographies, are seeking a candidate at the Associate level to join their Zurich office.
With a base range of CHF 90,000 - CHF 100,000 (depending on current experience) plus a performance-based discretionary bonus structure, your role will initially focus on research and the detail-focused retained search candidate delivery process.
The position offers a development path that allows you to gain exposure across several of their coverage areas, with a large focus on Financial Services. This experience will enable you to build in-depth knowledge of the firm's clients and market sectors under the mentorship of experienced Consultants and Partners.
As you develop, you will be given increasing responsibility for more significant parts of the mandate management and search delivery, including:
* Identifying, referencing, and actively assessing potential candidates for mandates and core clients
* Ongoing research and networking to source top performers from talent pools across their core markets
* Creating forensic competitor analysis, including strategic overviews, benchmarking, bespoke market and product intelligence reports through referencing and profiling market leaders
* Assisting in the execution of search mandates
* Conducting pre-pitch/origination research and due diligence, as well as proactively supporting strategic projects
* Active outreach and relationship building with the top talent in the market
This proven development program aims to help you gain the skills necessary to build a long-term career in the industry, progress you through the business, and ultimately equip you with the tools to develop into a revenue-generating Consultant as your knowledge and relationships grow.
The typical profile of a successful candidate would include:
* Excellent research and academic credentials with a degree or postgraduate qualification
* Minimum of two to five years of experience within a professional services environment, including contingent/executive search firms, strategy consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG in a knowledge management or analyst capacity), or relevant time spent in client services with a focus on leadership and HR (such as AlphaSights, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture and others)
* An interest in Financial Services as a coverage sector
* A humble yet driven individual who is motivated to deliver and enjoys problem-solving
* An intelligent and naturally inquisitive person who is well-organised, structured, resilient and disciplined
* An analytical thinking process coupled with a polished and well-rounded communication technique and a high level of attention to detail
* A drive to build a career in retained C-level executive search within an industry-respected firm
