Business Development Manager
With your engineering background, you are responsible in the Group for turning the technologies developed by the companies and startups into commercial successes. You act as a key contributor to the business development of the assigned companies and/or selected markets with the objective of building strong and scalable B2B businesses.
This position offers the opportunity to develop yourselves to the next level in an entrepreneurial and collaborative company’s atmosphere while working on several advanced technologies globally.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop the assigned new markets & technical products and grow sales
* Identify, meet and develop new customers by positioning new differentiated solutions at customer application level. Develop Account plans. Close the deals.
* Develop, align and execute structured go-to-market plans in close collaboration with management, technical and sales teams
* Ensure rigorous commercial execution (projects, pipeline, priorities, forecasts) and follow up on the defined actions
* Lead customer projects end-to-end, from first contact through to sales, in close collaboration with technical and sales teams
Profile
* Engineering degree (EPFL or HES) in materials, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or other engineering fields
* Track records in international B2B technical business development/sales with a structured business development approach
* Multi-market experience, e.g. in industrial applications, powder metallurgy, magnets, semiconductors, high power, electronics, motors design, resistance welding or EDM
* Structured and execution-driven, able to manage multiple projects in parallel and drive initiatives through to results
* Strong business mindset, able to understand technology and sell it at customers at all levels, before closing the deals
* Collaborative with a strong willingness to co-develop as team
* Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus
* Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
