Role Overview
As a Junior Scientific Writer, you support the preparation of scientific content that underpins our scientific publications and communication. You draft manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations based on clinical and technical outputs, and help ensure materials are clear, accurate, and delivered on time.
You work closely with cross‑functional teams, including Data Science, Clinical, Product, and Marketing, as well as external stakeholders such as Key Opinion Leaders, supporting the preparation of materials for publications, conferences, and related outputs.
This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on scientific writing, with some coordination across teams, in a hybrid setup with regular on‑site collaboration in Neuchâtel (team meets once per week).
Core Responsibilities
Scientific Writing & Publications (Primary Focus)
Draft manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and conference materials
Support the full publication process (drafting, editing, submission, revisions)
Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders and external authors (e.g. KOLs)
Prepare reviewer responses and manage publication timelines
Scientific Communication
Translate clinical and technical outputs into clear, structured scientific narratives
Prepare presentations, summaries, and internal communication materials
Support development of congress materials (slides, posters, briefing documents)
Literature & Research Support
Monitor relevant scientific literature and industry developments
Summarize key findings for internal stakeholders
Maintain reference materials and support internal knowledge sharing
Stakeholder & Project Support
Prepare materials for Key Opinion Leader interactions and collaborations
Support coordination of scientific deliverables across teams
Ensure timelines are tracked and deadlines are met
Background & Experience
PhD in biomedical science, biomedical engineering, biology, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field
Strong track record of scientific writing (manuscripts, abstracts, posters)
Excellent command of scientific English (second European language is a plus)
Experience with reference management tools (EndNote, Zotero, or Mendeley)
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to structure and communicate complex scientific content clearly
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Bonus
Experience preparing scientific figures or presentations
Basic programming skills (e.g. Python)
Exposure to clinical or regulated environments
