Ph3Posting Information /h3 ul liPosition Type: Maintenance/Custodial/ Maintenance General /li liDate Posted: 4/23/2026 /li liLocation: District Wide /li liDate Available: 07/01/2026 /li /ul h3Maintenance III - Mechanic /h3 h3Qualifications /h3 ol liMinimum of five (5) years of experience in automotive or heavy-duty mechanics, which may include fleet experience. /li liHigh school diploma or equivalent. /li liValid State of Ohio License with CDL Endorsement and Restrictions S: School Bus. /li liPhysically able to perform tasks required for the job function (e.g., lifting heavy objects, repairs, etc.). /li liAbility to provide leadership to staff and coordinate work assignments. /li liAbility to perform all functions associated with the technical or trade fields. /li liAbility to work well with others. /li liAbility to exercise organizational and leadership skills. /li liAbility to conduct in-service training of others. /li liAbility to perform without constant supervision. /li liAbility to take direction from others. /li liAbility to make accurate decisions and use good judgment. /li liCertification: ASE Certified. /li /ol h3General Description / Specific Performance Indicators /h3 ol libResponsible for the district-wide maintenance in technical or trades field /b ul liMaintain a safe working environment and observe good housekeeping in the assigned warehouse space. /li liDevelop and prepare an ongoing program for improving, maintaining, repairing, and updating equipment. /li liRecommend to the Facility and Operations Manager the needs in the area of supplies, materials, equipment, and repairs. /li liMaintain proper and detailed records of all supply and materials purchased as well as repairs performed. /li liRefer all uncompleted repair projects to the Facility and Operations Manager. /li liPerform an annual physical inventory on all supplies, materials, tools, and equipment in the assigned area. /li liAssist in receiving and recording of all supplies, materials, tools, and equipment. /li /ul /li libResponsible for all motor vehicles and equipment assigned to area/department /b ul liPerform routine general maintenance as required. /li liDiagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of /li /ul /li libResponsible for the supervision of all technical or trades personnel in the assigned area/department /b ul liMaintain proper and detailed work records of all assigned support staff personnel. /li liDevelop and maintain a supervisory plan for daily activity of all assigned support staff personnel. /li liAssist in the performance evaluation of all assigned support staff personnel. /li /ul /li libDemonstrate human relations and communication skills /b ul liDemonstrate knowledge of and adhere to policies and procedures in on the job situations. /li liInterpret and carry out written and oral instructions. /li liPrepare written incident reports and communicate orally with other staff members, students, and supervisors as required. /li /ul /li libDemonstrate possession of the physical attributes required to perform all essential functions /b ul liDemonstrate ability to move, transport, lift, and carry manually or with mechanical assistance boxes, books, supplies, equipment, and trash receptacles. /li liDemonstrate strength and manual dexterity to operate equipment properly. /li liMust be able to work with hands to manipulate a variety of tools related to repairs and maintenance as required. /li liMay be asked to operate equipment in all types of weather conditions. /li /ul /li libPerform any and all other related duties or functions that are necessary for the efficient operation of the school district as assigned by the Facility and Operations Manager. /b /li /ol pbTerms of Employment Salary: /b /p ul liPart‑Time per the negotiated OAPSE Agreement /li li260 Days /li /ul pThe East Cleveland City Schools is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in the recruitment, placement, maintenance, promotion or termination of employees on the basis of race, sex, religion or national origin. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
