Banking Operations is a strategic Avaloq service line providing Banking Operations outsourcing services to banks. We are organized as a global Business Area, running state-of-the art Backoffice services with industry leading automation, quality, and risk standards. We are looking for a Back Office Banking Specialist in Payments team, within the BPaaS division. The candidate will be selected for our team in Bioggio (Ticino) with 100% working time. The mission of the team is to deliver payments services to clients and to their end-clients, through high automation and high quality.
Key Tasks
Execute the daily activity on payments transactions (order entry, validation and collateral activities) regarding domestic and international commercial payments in line with the standard market rules (sic/swift/sepa format, cut-off times, etc)
Manage the investigation activity towards correspondent banks / ordering banks / beneficiary banks, in strict cooperation with Clients
Analyze the pending cash open items assigned to Payments Team and take all the necessary steps to close the open positions with correspondent banks
Cooperate / communicate with clients and counterparties efficiently
Be involved proactively in the continuous improvement of processes and automation in order to guarantee the best service and client experience
Qualifications
At least 2-3 years of experience in Back Office Payments or similar
High flexibility and willingness to learn
Good team player
Capability to autonomously get around in a highly challenging, fast-paced and complex environment
Excellent communication and organization skills
Proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking System
Knowledge of Messaging systems: Finastra GMP or IGT+ and Bottomline GTex
German language
