Job Description
The BRM Team plays a key role in overseeing non-financial risks across the business. As part of the team, you will contribute to the risk assessment framework throughout the lifecycle of client relationships, ensuring compliance with both external and internal regulations. You will also be involved in performing controls and monitoring Front Office activities and supporting broader initiatives aimed at strengthening our risk culture and governance. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, attention to regulatory details, and close collaboration with the Front Office, Compliance and other functions.
You Will Cover The Following Tasks
* Analyze and process new account opening requests, ensuring compliance with internal directives and AML regulations (AMLA-FINMA, CDB20, AMLA, etc) within the BRM’s scope;
* Perform periodic reviews of existing client accounts and transactions’ analysis to detect any divergence or suspicious activities within the BRM’s scope;
* Perform pre-checks on prospects ;
* Provide advice to RMs on AML/KYC and any other-related topics;
* Identify any formal and material issues during the client lifecycle of the accounts;
* Classify client risk account accurately according to internal risk frameworks and regulatory guidelines;
* Perform specific controls within the BRM Control Framework (OST, AML Alerts, Call-backs, other);
* Support the Line Manager and Head of BRM in the development and continuous improvement of BRM control framework;
* Collaborate with relationship managers and compliance officers to resolve any issues or discrepancies;
* Raise any issues to the Line Manager
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes
* Use internal systems and tools to support analysis and reporting tasks
* Participate closely to resolve audit points
* Raise any red flags in the internal controls framework of the team
* Participate to a large digitalization project;
Qualifications
* Bachelor or Master Studies
* Additional trainings in Compliance topics is a plus (CAS, vision Compliance, ACAMS)
* 7 to 10 years' experience in a similar role (Compliance, Private Banking, Big4)
* Strong expertise in AML, KYC, KYT
* Proactive, Risk-aware, Business-oriented;
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to details;
* Strong communication skills and team spirit;
* IT Skills: Advances MS Office expertise, Worldcheck & Lexis Nexis
* Fluent French, English & a third language (Spanish or Portuguese or German or Russian)
