Senior Frontend Engineer – Mobile Apps
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Frontend Engineer – Mobile Apps to join our cross‑functional digital product team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining our customer‑facing applications for i OS and Android, working closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product owners to deliver seamless, high‑quality experiences that meet the highest standards for accessibility, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain frontend features for our i OS and Android mobile applications
Implement and extend multilingual (DE/FR/IT/EN) user interfaces using internationalisation (i18n) frameworks and localisation best practices
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate Figma designs into pixel‑perfect, accessible components
Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
Optimise application performance across devices and screen sizes, with a focus on Swiss banking security standards
Contribute to the shared component library and design system used across all Raiffeisen digital products
Work in an agile team using Scrum/Kanban, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
Coordinate with backend teams to design and consume RESTful and Graph QL APIs
Monitor, debug, and resolve issues in production, ensuring high availability and user satisfaction
Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies and champion best practices within the team Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of professional experience in frontend or mobile development
Proficiency in React Native for cross‑platform i OS and Android development
Strong command of Type Script and modern Java Script (ES6+)
Experience with React.js or a comparable modern web framework (Vue, Angular)
Solid understanding of i OS and Android platform guidelines (HIG / Material Design)
Practical experience with i18n/l10n libraries (e.g. i18next, react‑intl, Format JS)
Familiarity with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Mob X, or similar)
Experience with RESTful APIs and Graph QL
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) Nice to Have Experience in regulated industries, particularly financial services or banking
Familiarity with Swift/Swift UI or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose for native development
Knowledge of micro‑frontend architectures
Experience with security‑conscious development (OWASP, certificate pinning, biometric auth) Languages German: Fluent (B2 or above) – working language of the team
English: Business proficient
