Your tasks
We are looking for a research assistant to join our activities in communication and sensing technology. You will participate in the applied research development of the next generation RF and mmW Integrated circuits:
1. Translation of system requirements into the design of integrated RF/mmW circuits
2. Layout and verification of integrated RF/mmW circuits
3. Implementation of research ideas into relevant scientific results
4. Potential supervision of BSc/MSc students
Your profile
5. Team oriented attitude
6. Creative thinker with strong problem solving skills
7. Good written and oral communication skills in English
8. MSc of PhD in electrical Engineering or equivalent practical work experience
9. Knowledge of EDA (Cadence or Synopsys) frontend and backend circuits with basic concepts such as cicuit noise and linearity, linear amplifiers, low-noise linear transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), automatic gain control (AGC) circuits, and linear equalizers
10. Prior knowledge or knowledge of heterojunction bipolar transistors
11. Experience in testing and debugging high-speed analog and mixed-signal ICs, as well as experience with physical design and verification (passive component design using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and EMX or HFSS)
