We are currently looking for a passionate, hands-on Head of Lodging and Rooms Division to join our vibrant campus and play a pivotal role in delivering a best-in-class residential experience to our students and guests.
As Head of Lodging and Rooms Division, you will serve as both an operational leader and a cultural ambassador. This role is critical to ensuring the comfort of our students while upholding the exceptional service standards Les Roches is known for.
Main Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
2. Certification or training in hotel operations or service excellence is a plus.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality or residence operations, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
4. Strong leadership and team motivation skills, ideally in a multicultural setting.
5. Previous experience in an educational or residential environment is an asset.
6. Fluent in English; fluency in French is a strong advantage.
7. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
8. Solid understanding of housekeeping operations, front office and property management systems.
9. Empathetic, organized, and highly service-oriented.
Main Responsibilities:
10. Responsible for overseeing Reception and Housekeeping teams. Contribute to the development and implementation of service standards, operational procedures, and staff evaluations.
11. Drive the strategic vision and operational excellence across reception, lodging, and housekeeping departments, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest service throughout all guest rooms and public areas, in alignment with the brand’s quality and guest experience objectives.
12. Train, coach, and supervise staff with a focus on hospitality excellence and student-centered care.
13. Manage room inventory and identify business opportunities to maximize usage during low intake periods.
14. Manage the Lodging platform (Mercury).
15. Oversee regular room check-ins and check-outs throughout the semester.
16. Collaborate with all Student Services teams for start- and end-of-semester check-in/check-out processes and room allocation.
17. Handle lodging-related enquiries and complaints.
18. Establish and follow up on preventive maintenance and room readiness procedures in coordination with the Maintenance team.
19. Respond to and resolve student lodging concerns with professionalism and empathy.
20. Coordinate with other departments for campus events, VIP visits, and emergency protocols.
21. Uphold and transmit Les Roches’ values and standards of excellence through all interactions.
22. Promote sustainable and efficient housekeeping and reception practices.
23. Act as a daily role model for Les Roches' values of excellence, respect, and innovation.
